1958 Born in Hökerum, Västergötland, West Sweden, on 14 May.

1975 Apprenticed to a portrait photographer.

1982 Began training as a film photographer at the University College of Film, Radio,Television and Theatre in Stockholm.

1983 Summer stand-in job as a press photographer Ulricehamns Tidning.

1983 Obtained his middle-school teaching degree at Jönköping University. Started as a freelance reporter for Borås Tidning.

1988 Produces  a short film and one documentary film about lake Vänern for Swedish Television, SVT.

1992 One of his photos was used as a template to engrave the back of the Swedish 20 kroner note. 

1994 Full-time professional photographer.

1996 First book, Speglingar (Reflections) published. 

1997 Photographic assignments  in Inner Mongolia, China.

1999 Assignments for the Fryxell-Langenskiöld Foundation.

2001 Publication of the book Beyond order (Nya Vyer, Stockholm).  

2002 Assignments for the Swedish Society of Forest History and Stiftelsen Skogssällskapet. Began the Riverside/Viskan project.

2003 Assignments for Borås Museum.

2004 Assignments for Sveaskog. Film and photographic work for Swedish Television: Parts of Nobel laureate Harry Martinson’s Aniara.

2005 Film and photographic work on behalf of Swedish Television:  Wingbeats – Birds in Art and Literature.

2006 Began the project Faraway Nearby. Publication of the book The Old Man and the Forest in cooperation with author Örjan Hill. Began the project Silent Landscape.

2007 One of his landscape pictures was published as a Swedish stamp 

2007  Publication of the book Riverside Viskan. Assignment with author Stefan Edman and Bo Thunberg.

2008 H.M. the King Carl XIV Gustaf, receives the book The Old Man and the Forest as a gift on his 60th birthday. Jan Töve and Örjan Hill guided H.M during a visit in Olofstorp, Vg.

2008 Photographic assignment in Ulricehamn.  Lecture on Wild Photos, Royal Geografic Society, London.

2009 Assignments for Ulricehamns kommun. Art Accommodation decoration assignments for Southern Älvsborgs Hospital, Borås. Lecture at the Academy Valand, Gothenburg.

2011 Photographic Assignment for The Swedish Society of Forest History.

2012 Publication of the book Änglagårdsbygd in cooperation with  author Agneta Tjäder.

2012 Photographic Assignment for The Swedish Society of Forest History.

2012 Decorated with Västergötlands Fornminnesförenings, medal of Honor.

2012 Publication of the book Skogssällskapet – en växande historia  in cooperation with author Örjan Hill.

2012 Publication of the book Silent landscape.

2012 Selected to participate in the exhibition Art of Photography Show in  San Diego. Recipient of Ulricehamn Cultural award.

2013 Participate in the exhibition Contemporary landscapes, Oceanside  Museum of Art, CA, USA.

2013 Represented by THE PHOTO GALLERY, Sweden.

2016 Still photography and stock-filming for Colin Nutleys drama Saknad for C-more/TV 4. 

2016 Assignment together with author Stefan Edman, photographing for the book Bohuskusten.

2017 Commissioned still photography for the Swedish Film Industry in the feature film Vilken jävla cirkus. Director Helena Bergström.
